The precise choreography of uniting a new crew in orbit
In short: Watch how Expedition 25 successfully docked with the International Space Station to join their colleagues. This video captures the critical transition of personnel and the start of a mission dedicated to high-stakes human research.
On October 10, Alexander Kaleri, Scott Kelly, and Oleg Skripochka arrived at the ISS via the Soyuz TMA-01M spacecraft. They docked with the Poisk module on the Zvezda Service Module of the Russian segment before being greeted by the existing crew.
The mission focused on diverse scientific goals, including studies on space nutrition, radiation effects, and human heart health. The crew also worked on installing Robonaut and testing fire safety and cooling technologies.
