The intricate science of life and physics in microgravity
In short: Watch how Expedition 34 navigates the daily complexities of orbiting the Earth, balancing high-stakes laboratory research with the logistical demands of living in space.
Led by Commander Kevin Ford, the Expedition 34 crew conducts a wide array of experiments spanning human biology, physical sciences, and technology development. Key research areas include studying how space affects bone density and visual perception, observing fluid responses to magnetic fields, and measuring the impact of electromagnetic radiation on the climate.
Beyond the laboratory, the mission involves critical Earth observations and logistical milestones, such as SpaceX CRS-2 captures and SLS program updates. The work highlights the dual nature of modern spaceflight: a mobile research hub for fundamental science and a platform for technological advancement.
