How Europe is building a more robust global navigation system
In short: This video provides an overview of the Galileo programme and shows satellites 13 and 14 being prepared in Kourou. It features insights from ESA Director Paul Verhoef on the mission to expand the constellation.
The video explores the deployment of the Galileo constellation, specifically focusing on the preparation of satellites 13 and 14 at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. This launch, scheduled for 24 May via a Soyuz rocket, is part of a broader effort by the European Commission to accelerate the system's deployment and enhance its robustness for initial services. Over the previous four years, a total of 12 satellites have been placed into orbit, with six of those launched within the last year alone.
