Teleporting a quantum state without moving a single particle
In short: Quantum teleportation sounds like science fiction, but it is a standard procedure in physics. This video explains how to move information between two points using the strange rules of entanglement.
The process involves transferring an arbitrary qubit—such as a spin state—from one location (Alice) to another (Bob). Rather than physically moving the particle itself, the method relies on a pair of particles already shared in an entangled Bell state.
To complete the transfer, Alice must also send information through a classical channel. This combination of quantum entanglement and classical communication allows for the reconstruction of the original state at the destination.
