The terrifying Torvosaurus was not as dominant as once believed
In short: This segment from Walking with Dinosaurs (2025) examines the life of Europe's apex carnivore. It challenges long-held assumptions about prehistoric predator-prey dynamics by highlighting a peculiar discovery in the fossil record.
The video explores the existence of Torvosaurus, a formidable predator capable of ripping prey to shreds. While it was traditionally believed that the massive Lusotitan was off its menu, an expert observation has recently complicated this narrative.
Featured as part of a reimagining of the iconic series, the footage uses pioneering special effects to bring six prehistoric heroes to life based on real-world excavations.
