The Orion spacecraft begins its assembly for upcoming lunar missions
In short: Witness the moment technicians at Kennedy Space Center attached the crew module to the Orion service module, marking a critical step in preparing the spacecraft for launch.
The video captures a milestone in the assembly of NASA's Orion spacecraft in Florida. Under the observation of NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, the crew module was joined to the completed service module. This assembly is the first step in configuring the three primary elements of the spacecraft—the crew module, the service module, and the launch abort system—for a launch targeted as early as this December.
This progress is part of NASA's broader Artemis program, which aims to advance Moon to Mars goals and return humans to the lunar surface.
