The journey to the International Space Station begins for Crew-12

The Crew-12 mission, the 12th crew rotation under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, has successfully reached orbit. The crew—consisting of NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenost, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev—traveled aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. After the nosecone opened in orbit, the team began a roughly 34-hour rendezvous and docking process.
The mission is scheduled to arrive at the International Space Station on February 14. While in orbit, the crew will perform scientific investigations and technology demonstrations. These efforts are designed to benefit life on Earth and support the long-term goal of sending humans to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
