A new perspective on space travel from the boosters themselves
In short: Watch the STS-130 launch through the eyes of the rockets that powered it. This footage captures a unique point-of-view of the shuttle's journey into orbit and its eventual return to Earth.
NASA has recovered cameras mounted on the two solid rocket boosters (SRBs) used during the space shuttle Endeavour's STS-130 mission. These devices provide rare, first-person documentation of the launch sequence from Kennedy Space Center on February 8.
The footage is particularly significant because it captures the precise moment the reusable SRBs separated from the orbiter. It also tracks their subsequent descent and splashdown in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida.
