In short: Before astronauts ever reach orbit, they must master the Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test. This video explores how crews synchronize with ground teams to prepare for the complexities of a live mission.

On March 1, a seven-member crew arrived at NASA's Kennedy Space Center for a full launch dress rehearsal. These simulations are critical for equipment familiarization and ensuring every team member knows their role during the high-pressure countdown.

Beyond mere practice, the session includes emergency egress training, preparing the crew for rapid evacuation procedures should something go wrong. It serves as the final bridge between theoretical planning and the physical reality of a shuttle launch.
