Inside Tranquility: The life-support hub of the International Space Station
In short: This video offers a 360-degree view of the International Space Station's Tranquility module. You will see the essential systems that sustain life in orbit and the panoramic Cupola observation window used to guide robotic operations.
Tranquility, also known as Node-3, serves as a critical life-support hub for the International Space Station. It was attached to the port side of the Node-1 Unity module following its launch on the Space Shuttle STS-130 in February 2010. A key feature within this module is the ESA-provided Cupola, a dome-shaped structure equipped with seven windows. This observation module provides the panoramic views necessary for operators to control the Canadarm 2 robotic arm.
