A month-long mission concludes as SpaceX Dragon departs the ISS
In short: Watch the precise moment the Canadarm2 robotic arm releases the SpaceX Dragon cargo vehicle, carrying a month's worth of critical scientific research back to Earth.
On May 11, Expedition 47 Flight Engineers Tim Peake (ESA) and Jeff Williams (NASA) unberthed the Dragon spacecraft from the Harmony module's Earth-facing port. The vehicle is returning with approximately 3,600 pounds of experiments and biomedical samples.
The cargo includes vital data from the year-long mission conducted by NASA's Scott Kelly and Roscosmos's Mikhail Kornienko, providing insights from their extended stay in orbit.
