In short: Prometheus is not a superhuman, yet he can dismantle the world's greatest heroes. By using advanced technology to download the combat skills of elite martial artists directly into his brain, this calculated strategist turns human expertise into a digital weapon, making him a formidable foil for even the most seasoned adventurers.

In the DC Comics universe, the most prominent version of Prometheus is the unnamed son of two hippie spree killers. After witnessing his parents being killed by police, his hair turned white from the trauma, fueling a lifelong vendetta to annihilate the forces of justice. He spent years honing his skills as a pit-fighter in Brazil, a mercenary in Africa, and a terrorist in the Middle East.

Unlike many supervillains, Prometheus possesses no innate superpowers. Instead, his lethality stems from an advanced helmet and armor system. His default disc contains the skills of thirty elite fighters, including the combat abilities of Batman and Lady Shiva. This digital mastery, combined with an artificial intelligence capable of rapid strategic calculation, has allowed him to incapacitate entire groups of the Justice League simultaneously.

The character's complexity is further heightened by his ability to manipulate reality through the 'Ghost Key,' which grants access to the Ghost Zone. This tool can teleport objects and people or even cause molecular disintegration. His tactical brilliance was most evident when he successfully impersonated a hero to infiltrate the Justice League Watchtower, only to be eventually neutralized by Batman, who hacked his helmet to replace combat data with the limited physical coordination of Stephen Hawking.

The mantle has been occupied by different individuals across various continuities. One version, Curt Calhoun, became a metallic being after an industrial accident involving promethium. Another, Chad Graham, acted as a protégé before being killed by the original Prometheus. In the Arrowverse, the character is reimagined as Simon Morrison, a polymath expert in law and engineering who targeted Oliver Queen.
