The 57th GMA Dove Awards Celebrate Excellence in Christian Music at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena
In short: On October 7, 2026, the Gospel Music Association gathers in Nashville to honor the year's finest Christian music. Hosted for the fourth consecutive year by Tauren Wells, the ceremony highlights a competitive field of nominees, including industry veterans and worship leaders, broadcast exclusively to audiences through the TBN network.
The 57th Annual Dove Awards recognize outstanding recordings, compositions, and musicians within the Christian music industry. Eligibility for this year's honors covers the period from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026. The event, held at the Bridgestone Arena, serves as the culmination of a long planning cycle that began in late 2025. Originally scheduled for October 6, 2026, organizers eventually moved the ceremony to October 7 to finalize the logistics of the production.
Competition for the awards is fierce, with nominations revealed on July 29, 2026. Phil Wickham leads the field with nine nominations, while CeCe Winans holds the highest number of nominations for a female artist with seven. The lead-up to the event involved a structured rollout of talent, with three distinct rounds of presenters and performers announced throughout September 2026. These announcements built anticipation for the main event, which also includes a special tribute to the late American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton.
Beyond the main ceremony, the event features broader community engagement, including a headlining performance by Elevation Worship at the Ryman Auditorium on October 5, 2026. Public access to the event was managed through a tiered ticketing process, with an exclusive presale opening on December 11, 2025, followed by general sales on December 15, 2025. By coordinating these elements, the Gospel Music Association continues its tradition of spotlighting the diversity and reach of contemporary Christian music on a national stage.
