A champion fighter balances elite combat sports with grueling Amazon delivery shifts in America
In short: Aline Pereira is the inaugural Karate Combat Women's Flyweight Champion, yet her path to the top is far from typical. While competing at the highest levels of kickboxing and MMA, the Brazilian athlete has balanced intense training with the physical demands of working as an Amazon delivery driver in the United States.
Born on October 6, 1990, Aline Silva Pereira Celso carries a heritage rooted in the Pataxó tribe. Her journey into combat sports is shared with her older brother, Alex, a decorated athlete who has held multiple championship titles in both the UFC and Glory Kickboxing. Despite her own professional success, including a transition from a 21-win amateur career to high-profile professional bouts, Pereira has maintained a blue-collar work ethic to support her son and family.
Pereira’s professional trajectory has spanned several disciplines and organizations. After a successful start in WGP Kickboxing, she signed with Glory, where she secured a technical knockout victory against Crystal Lawson in 2019 and challenged Tiffany van Soest for the Super Bantamweight Championship in 2021. Her transition to mixed martial arts with the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) saw her face opponents like Helen Peralta and Chelsea Conner. By 2025, she openly discussed the exhaustion of juggling professional fighting with delivery shifts, expressing a clear ambition to eventually transition into a career sustained entirely by her combat performance.
Her most significant recent milestone occurred in Karate Combat. After a successful debut in 2024, she secured the inaugural Women's Flyweight Championship on July 19, 2025, by defeating Fani Peloumpi via unanimous decision. This title win represents a pinnacle of her adaptability across different fighting styles. Whether through a first-round knockout or a tactical split decision, Pereira continues to navigate the grueling reality of professional athletics, proving that the road to championship gold often involves significant personal sacrifice far beyond the ring.
