By 2015, he had established himself in the Eredivisie, eventually helping Vitesse secure their first KNVB Beker title in 2017, a historic achievement for the club after 125 years of competition.
His career trajectory accelerated with a move to the Bundesliga’s Werder Bremen in 2018, where he signed a 4.5-year contract. In 2021, he transferred to Norwich City in the Premier League for a reported €11 million fee, plus potential bonuses. During his time in England, he made history in February 2022 by becoming the first Kosovan player to score a goal in the Premier League, finding the net against Liverpool at Anfield.
Rashica’s international career reflects the complex landscape of Balkan football. He initially represented Albania at the youth level, including appearances for the U17, U19, and U21 squads, and earned two caps for the senior national team in 2016. However, in August 2016, he switched his allegiance to Kosovo, making his debut for the newly recognized national team shortly thereafter. This transition coincided with his continued success in club football, including a 2022–23 Süper Lig title with Galatasaray during a season-long loan, before he signed a four-year deal with Beşiktaş in August 2023.
