Vietnam prepares to host the third edition of Miss Cosmo
In short: As the pageant circuit evolves, the Miss Cosmo competition is heading to Southeast Asia. Following the success of its first two editions, the third installment promises a high-stakes spectacle in Vietnam, where a new successor will be crowned to follow the reigning titleholder, Yolina Lindquist.
The Miss Cosmo pageant is entering its third year of operation, marking a significant expansion for the competition. The upcoming 2026 edition is scheduled to take place in Nha Trang, located in the Khánh Hòa province of Vietnam. This event is set to run from 25 December 2026 through 16 January 2027, spanning the transition between the two years. This upcoming iteration is slated for Nha Trang, situated within the Khánh Hòa province. The festivities are scheduled to commence on 25 December 2026 and will conclude on 16 January 2027.
The competition carries significant weight for the winner, who will inherit the mantle held by the current titleholder, Yolina Lindquist of the United States. The transition of power is a central focus of the event, as the reigning queen will officially crown her successor at the conclusion of the festivities in Vietnam. The current reigning queen is Yolina Lindquist, representing the United States. She will perform the official crowning ceremony once the pageant concludes.
However, the road to the crown is not without controversy or administrative complexity. The pageant has already seen instances of title disputes, such as the case involving Malaika Mushandu of Zimbabwe. Mushandu was stripped of her national title by her country's organization, leading to her withdrawal from the competition. As the third edition approaches, the eyes of the international pageant community will be on Nha Trang to see how the competition evolves under these pressures. Malaika Mushandu, representing Zimbabwe, previously exited the competition. This occurred after her national organisation revoked her title.
