In short: In the world of professional wrestling, lineage is everything. Natalya Neidhart didn't just inherit a famous name; she became the sole female athlete to undergo the grueling, traditional training of the Hart family. Her journey from a Canadian trainee to a record-breaking WWE mainstay is a study in endurance.

Natalya Neidhart is a third-generation wrestler born into the prestigious Hart wrestling family. Her mother, Elizabeth "Ellie" Hart, was the daughter of Stu Hart, a foundational figure in the industry. This lineage provided Natalya with a direct connection to the "Hart Dungeon," a legendary training ground where she studied under her uncles, Ross and Bruce Hart. Notably, she was the first and only woman to receive this specific formal professional wrestling training, bridging a gender gap in a historically male-dominated lineage. Her career began in the early 2000s, moving through various promotions including Stampede Wrestling and international tours in England and Japan. After a significant cruciate ligament injury in Japan in 2005, she underwent surgery and spent six months in recovery. She spent time as a ring announcer for the MatRats youth promotion. Her early career included a long feud with Belle Lovitz. She also toured Japan using the name Nadia Hart. During her time in Stampede, she wrestled as Nasty Nattie.

Despite this setback, she eventually signed with WWE in 2007, navigating developmental territories like Deep South Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling before making her main roster debut in 2008. Neidhart's longevity is underscored by her status as the longest-tenured female WWE wrestler, having remained active with the company since 2007. She made history as the initial female to possess the SmackDown Women's Championship and the Divas Championship simultaneously within WWE. Furthermore, she holds six Guinness World Records for female WWE wrestlers, including the most pay-per-view appearances, most matches, and most WrestleMania matches, cementing her role as a cornerstone of the sport.
