In short: London is finally getting its own seat at the table of a massive television franchise. While many cities have seen their glamorous lives televised, this specific production marks a significant milestone as a streaming service's very first original commission.

The Real Housewives of London (RHOLDN) premiered on Hayu on 18 August 2025. It represents a major shift in content strategy for the platform, serving as its first-ever commissioned original series. The programme tracks the private and career journeys of six individuals—Nessie Welschinger, Panthea Parker, Juliet Mayhew, Karen Loderick-Peace, Amanda Cronin, and Juliet Angus—living in London.

The production is part of a broader expansion of the franchise into British territory. This production marks the UK's third entry into the franchise, succeeding The Real Housewives of Jersey and The Real Housewives of Cheshire. Such links are evident in the lineup; notably, Juliet Angus joined from Bravo's Ladies of London, whereas Karen Loderick-Peace had already featured in both the Cheshire and Jersey versions.

The rollout was a multi-stage international event. It was first announced by Andy Cohen during a Hayu FanFest in London on 26 October 2024. Following its initial release, the show expanded globally with various premiere dates: it debuted in France on 5 October 2025 via E! (now Bravo France) and Universal+, reached Australia on 8 April 2026, and finally arrived in the United States on 21 July 2026. The series has already secured its future with a second season renewal announced in February 2026.

To deepen viewer engagement, the production includes an 'After Show' featuring behind-the-scenes content and interviews. It also utilizes high-profile guest appearances from established franchise icons like Caroline Stanbury of Dubai and Dorinda Medley of New York City. Comedian Katherine Ryan was selected to host both the first and second series reunions, providing a consistent comedic thread for the brand.
