The Traitors are tasked with murdering one contestant each night, while the group as a whole competes in challenges to build a collective prize fund. At the daily Round Table, the remaining players attempt to banish those they suspect of being Traitors.
A significant innovation in this season was the introduction of the Secret Traitor. Revealed by host Alan Cumming in the first episode, this individual operated in the shadows, providing the regular Traitors with a shortlist of potential victims for their nightly murders. Because this person's identity was concealed from both the audience and the other Traitors, the usual methods of deduction were disrupted. Contestants could only be confirmed as Faithful if they appeared on these murder shortlists or were successfully banished from the game.
The cast, announced on June 13, 2025, consisted entirely of reality television participants and public figures. Among the notable competitors was Maura Higgins, who also appeared on the 35th season of Dancing with the Stars in 2026. By the season's conclusion, Rob Rausch emerged victorious as a Traitor, securing the prize pot for himself. Maura Higgins finished as the runner-up, having played the game as a Faithful. The outcome highlights the core tension of the format: if any Traitors remain at the end, they claim the entire prize, whereas a victory for the Faithful allows the remaining group to divide the funds evenly.
