What goes into a craft red ale? A look at the Ambear Red Ale
In short: This video captures a casual, real-world tasting session featuring Ontario craft beers. It highlights the specific ingredients used in Camerons Brewing Ambear Red Ale, offering a straightforward look at the malt, hops, and yeast profiles that define this particular brew.
The 24 Beers Project involved a group of friends gathering in a studio on a Saturday afternoon to taste 24 different craft beers from Ontario. Over the course of a three-hour session, the team produced a 24-part series documenting their impressions, aiming to provide an authentic, average-consumer perspective on each selection.
For the 12th entry in the series, the group examined Camerons Brewing Ambear Red Ale. The beer is crafted using a blend of five malts: 2 row, munich, crystal, dexpils, and dark malt. The flavor profile is shaped by a hop combination of Chinook, Cascade, and Amarillo, fermented with a special house ale yeast unique to the brewery.
