From Naples to the national stage: the rise of Antonia
In short: A child of the Materdei neighborhood in Naples, Antonia Nocca transformed a childhood passion into a rapid ascent through Italy's competitive music scene. By the age of ten, she was already performing in Neapolitan, laying the groundwork for a career that would soon capture the national spotlight.
While enrolled at Onorato Fava Elementary School, Antonia Nocca first explored music at age six. This early start led to formal singing lessons and public performances, allowing her to develop a distinct artistic identity in her hometown before even reaching her teens. Neapolitan performance and music skills were already formed before she finished Gian Battista Vico State Classical Lyceum in July 2024.
Her mainstream breakthrough occurred in late 2024 when she joined the twenty-fourth edition of the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi. Her trajectory through the competition was marked by significant milestones: she joined professor Rudy Zerbi's team for the series phase in February 2025 and eventually reached the final in May 2025.
During this period, she secured several accolades, including the Spotify Singles Award, the Enel Critics' Award, and the Unicità Oreo Award, finishing the competition in fourth place. Following her success on television, Antonia transitioned into a recording artist, releasing her debut EP, Relax, in May 2025 through Ecletic Records and Warner Music Italy. A FIMI Albums Chart entry at thirty-seven marked the debut of the EP containing 'Romantica' and 'Giganti'. Her momentum continued into 2026 with a collaboration on Aiello's album Scorpione and a participation in Sanremo Giovani 2025, the youth selection for the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival. Her career reflects a modern path to stardom, blending traditional regional roots with high-profile national media platforms.
