From Ohio high school athlete to WWE's rising star B-Fab
In short: Before stepping into the ring under the B-Fab moniker, Briana Brandy was a competitive swimmer and basketball player in Ohio. Her journey from a 2017 WWE tryout to the main roster of SmackDown highlights the intense, unpredictable evolution of a modern professional wrestling career.
Born in Canton, Ohio, on November 22, 1990, Briana Brandy's path to professional wrestling was built on a diverse athletic foundation. Before signing a developmental contract with WWE on August 28, 2019, she competed in swimming and basketball during her high school years. This physical background eventually expanded into training in Ninjutsu, Cross Fitness, and working as a boxing coach.
Brandy's professional wrestling career saw significant shifts in persona and role. She first appeared in NXT under her real name, wrestling only eight matches between 2019 and 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic restricted live audience events. By May 11, 2021, she transitioned to her current persona, B-Fab, appearing as part of the stable Hit Row. This role evolved from a manager to an active competitor, including a high-profile appearance in the 2023 Royal Rumble.
Her career has been marked by both rapid ascent and sudden transitions. Following a release from WWE in November 2021 due to budget cuts, she performed on the independent circuit with The HitMakerZ. She eventually returned to the SmackDown brand, joining Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits in a group called The Pride. By 2024, she had shifted her allegiances again, joining Michin and eventually aligning with Jade Cargill in 2026.
Beyond the ring, Brandy is a multifaceted performer. She has released music since 2013 that has reached the iTunes Apple Music charts and has toured with prominent rap artists such as Soulja Boy and Jadakiss. Her presence has also extended into digital media, appearing as a non-playable character in WWE 2K23 and a playable character in later installments like WWE 2K25.
