A reunion born from legal settlements and divided by political lines
In short: After years of litigation and a cancelled 2020 tour, the Pussycat Dolls returned in 2026. But the comeback was anything but seamless, marked by a fractured lineup, sudden North American cancellations, and a bitter divide between former members.
The PCD Forever Tour emerged from the wreckage of a legal battle between founder Robin Antin and lead singer Nicole Scherzinger. The two reached a confidential settlement in November 2025, resolving disputes over creative control and profit splits that had previously stalled a 2019 tour. Following this, Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt announced a reunion on March 12, 2026, supported by the new single "Club Song."
However, the reunion was notably incomplete. While Scherzinger initiated the comeback by contacting Roberts and Wyatt, former members Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta were not part of the new lineup. Bachar expressed uncertainty regarding her exclusion, while Sutta offered a more pointed critique. Sutta claimed her political alignment with the MAGA movement and support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. led the group to view her as a "liability," further dismissing the tour as a "cash grab."
The tour's execution faced significant logistical hurdles. Although the group initially announced a massive global schedule, the North American leg suffered a major blow in May 2026. Citing poor ticket sales, the group cancelled 33 North American dates, leaving only a headlining set at the West Hollywood Pride Festival. Critics and journalists, such as Steve McIntosh of BBC News, suggested that high ticket prices and a focus on large arenas contributed to the decline. Despite these setbacks, the tour continued its momentum through Europe and toward a scheduled conclusion in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on October 30, 2026.
