Now, he prepares for a major career milestone: joining the premier MotoGP class in 2027.
Senna Agiente Agius, born on 9 June 2005, has rapidly ascended through the ranks of motorcycle racing. Originally from Camden in south-west Sydney, Agius’s journey took him from his Australian roots to a base in Andorra during his early European campaigns in the JuniorGP and European Moto2 championships. His ascent was fueled by a formative influence from his father and a competitive drive that saw him move from a runner-up finish in 2022 to becoming the first Australian champion in the Moto2 European class in 2023.
The 2024 season marked Agius's full-time debut in the Moto2 World Championship with the LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP team. He quickly proved his mettle on the world stage, securing a maiden world championship podium at Phillip Island. His momentum continued into 2025, a landmark year in which he achieved his first Grand Prix victory at Silverstone. He also made history by becoming the first Australian rider to secure a Moto2 victory on home soil at the Phillip Island circuit.
The trajectory of Agius's career is now set toward the highest level of the sport. Following his successes in the intermediate class, he is slated to move into the premier MotoGP class for the 2027 World Championship. He will join the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team alongside Luca Marini, signing a multi-year deal that positions him among the elite riders in the world.
