Can art help us imagine a more equitable and sustainable future?
In short: Artist Alicia Eggert uses imaginative sculptures to explore how we perceive reality, from massive island installations to works that respond to human connection.
Eggert's work ranges from a giant sculpture situated on an uninhabited island in Maine to interactive installations. This specific installation expands solely when individuals link hands to form an electrical circuit, illustrating art's capacity to spark awe and encourage optimism throughout difficult eras. For Eggert, the ability to imagine a brighter, more sustainable, and more equitable future is a fundamental prerequisite for achieving it.
