In short: Pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner performs Ludwig van Beethoven's Sonata No. 32 in the Patrons Lounge of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This performance highlights the museum's Bechstein grand piano, a piece from its extensive musical instrument collection, in a collaboration between the American Classical Orchestra and The Met.

The performance features Sonata No. 32 in C Minor, Op. 111, the last piano sonata composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827). The work is presented in two movements: the dramatic 'Maestoso - Allegro con brio ed appassionato' and the lyrical 'Arietta - Adagio molto, semplice e cantabile.'

The instrument used is a Bechstein grand piano, which was gifted to The Met by the Schonberger Family Foundation in 1993. The project was organized by the museum's Department of Musical Instruments, led by curator Jayson Dobney, and involved a partnership with the American Classical Orchestra under founder Tom Crawford.
