In short: Dhurandhar achieved a feat never before seen in Indian cinema: every single song on its soundtrack entered the Spotify Global Top 200 simultaneously. It did this by weaving a complex web of retro Hindi classics, Sufi qawwalis, and modern rap into a singular, high-octane musical identity.

Composed by Shashwat Sachdev with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the Dhurandhar soundtrack is a masterclass in musical lineage. The production highlights various vintage Hindi hits updated with contemporary styles, such as a 1960 Barsaat Ki Raat qawwali, "Na To Caravan Ki Talash Hai", reimagined. Originating from the 1950s Sufi qawwali "Na To Butkade Ki Talab Mujhe" by Fateh Ali Khan and Mubarak Ali Khan, this piece is known as "Ishq Jalakar – Karvaan."

The soundtrack's complexity extends to its global and regional influences. It incorporates an Arabic song, "FA9LA," featuring Bahraini rapper Flipperachi, and a Pakistani track, "Hawa Hawa," which is based on a 1970s Persian song by Kourosh Yaghmaei. The music even reaches into Western pop and classical history; the sequel's teaser features Doja Cat’s "Aaahh Men!," which samples the 1982 Knight Rider theme, which itself was likely inspired by Léo Delibes' 1870 ballet Coppélia.

Despite its success, the soundtrack faces scrutiny regarding its creative ethics. Billboard India’s Zico Ghosh noted that while the album is ambitious, it is built on a "shared musical inheritance" that often fails to recognize all its original contributors upfront. This tension between honoring the past and modern commercial success defines the project's unique position in the contemporary Bollywood landscape. The album includes a high-energy Punjabi track titled "Ez-Ez" featuring Diljit Dosanjh. Additionally, the song "Move – Yeh Ishq Ishq" was remixed with vocals from the rapper Tsumyoki. The soundtrack also features a cover remix of a song by Lal Chand Yamla Jatt.
