A mother bear's desperate search for a stranded cub in Scandinavia
In short: Watch an intimate look at maternal instinct and survival in the frozen forests of northern Europe. This documentary captures the high-stakes drama of a family separated by a violent territorial clash.
The footage follows a mother bear navigating a treacherous winter landscape with her three triplets. When a confrontation with another aggressive female forces the group to scatter, the smallest cub becomes stranded alone in the trees overnight.
Beyond this specific tragedy, the film highlights the broader struggle for survival in Scandinavia, featuring moose cows defending newborns, owls feeding nestlings, and intense standoffs between bears and wolf packs over fresh kills.
