The world's most wanted animal is also its most misunderstood
In short: This video follows conservationist Maria Diekmann as she confronts the global crisis facing pangolins. From her sanctuary in Namibia to the markets of Asia, witness the urgent fight to save these shy, scaly mammals from illegal trafficking.
Pangolins are unique scaly mammals found across Africa and Asia, yet they have become the most illegally trafficked animals on the planet. This footage tracks Maria Diekmann's journey from her Namibian sanctuary—where poachers use deadly snares—to Vietnam, Thailand, and China to address the intense demand for pangolin products.
To combat this extinction threat, Diekmann joins forces with a Chinese megastar to launch an awareness campaign for an animal many people have never even heard of.
