The high-stakes logistical battle to prevent species extinction
In short: This screening of Racing Extinction explores the urgent efforts to recover endangered wildlife. It highlights the specific roles played by field supervisors and environmental programs in securing habitats for at-risk species.
The documentary features insights from Scott Pruitt, a field supervisor for US Fish & Wildlife Services. His work involves leading recovery efforts for the Indiana bat, an endangered forest-dwelling species native to the eastern United States.
Beyond individual species, the footage covers large-scale environmental restoration. This includes multimillion-dollar projects aimed at rehabilitating critical habitats, such as the Grand Calumet River, to support biodiversity.
