In short: With 22 knockouts in 23 wins, Daniel Dubois is a formidable force in professional boxing. Known for his devastating power, the British heavyweight has climbed the ranks from amateur champion to world title holder, navigating injury, coaching changes, and a pivotal first professional defeat.

Born in September 1997, Dubois' journey to the elite level began in South London. To keep him out of trouble, his father introduced him to boxing at age nine. He eventually trained at the Peacock Gym in Canning Town under Tony and Martin Bowers, building a foundation through approximately 75 amateur bouts.

Dubois' amateur career was highly decorated, featuring five national junior titles and a British championship. During an 18-month period within Sheffield's GB Elite programme, he secured gold medals at international competitions held in Brandenburg, Germany, and Tammer, Finland. Although he was part of the Great Britain Olympic team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he chose to turn professional instead, which precluded him from Olympic competition.

His professional career has been marked by significant momentum and high-stakes drama. After a series of dominant knockout victories, he faced Joe Joyce in a highly anticipated 2020 bout. The fight, which ended in a tenth-round stoppage loss for Dubois due to a broken left orbital bone, was a closely contested affair that saw Dubois land 146 of 486 punches. Despite this setback, he rebounded to win the vacant WBA interim heavyweight title by knocking out Bogdan Dinu in 2021.

Since then, Dubois has secured multiple world titles, including the WBO heavyweight title as of May 2026 and the IBF title between 2024 and 2025. His career has been defined by his ability to recover from significant physical and professional challenges to remain a top-tier heavyweight contender.
