Preparing the external tank for Endeavour's final mission
In short: Watch the time-lapse process of NASA moving the ET-122 external fuel tank into a specialized inspection cell at the Kennedy Space Center.
The video captures the movement of the external fuel tank for the STS-134 mission into a checkout cell within the Vehicle Assembly Building. Following its arrival at Kennedy Space Center on September 27, the tank was transferred from a transport barge to the building on September 28. This inspection phase is scheduled to last approximately 15 days before the tank is moved to a mobile launch platform to be integrated with two solid rocket boosters and the space shuttle Endeavour for its targeted February 2011 launch to the International Space Station.
