Mars500 - It is finally (and it was) Mars! · 10:48 · Video: European Space Agency, ESA · Watch at the source

In short: Step inside the Mars500 isolation study to witness a virtual arrival on the Red Planet. This video compilation captures the crew's simulated landing, cargo transfers, and planetary walks throughout February.

The footage documents a pivotal period in the Mars500 isolation experiment. Beginning on 1 February, the crew simulated a Martian arrival by docking with a lander to retrieve cargo. On 8 February, a team consisting of Diego Urbina, Alexandr Smoleevskiy, and Wang Yue descended to the surface for three simulated walks. Meanwhile, Romain Charles, Alexey Sitev, and Sukhrob Kamolov remained in orbit, eventually reuniting with the surface team on 27 February.
