NASA prepares to launch the next TDRS-L satellite for mission continuity
In short: This video covers the prelaunch briefing for NASA's TDRS-L spacecraft. Discover how this new satellite will support vital science and human exploration missions by expanding the lifespan of the existing satellite fleet.
The TDRS-L spacecraft is the second of three planned satellites intended to maintain the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS). This fleet currently consists of eight satellites operating in geosynchronous orbit.
Set to depart Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on January 23, the TDRS-L will offer critical functions such as command, telemetry, tracking, and high bandwidth data return for diverse Earth-orbiting missions.
