A colonel in the French Air and Space Force, Sophie Adenot brings a diverse background in engineering and helicopter test piloting to the European Space Agency. After being chosen as an astronaut in 2022, she finished her foundational training at the European Astronaut Centre in 2024.
Her professional journey reached a new milestone on 13 February 2026, when she launched to the International Space Station to begin her inaugural mission, known as εpsilon.
