In short: In the world of professional wrestling, El Hijo del Vikingo is a name synonymous with gravity-defying athleticism. From his debut on the independent circuit to becoming a cornerstone of AAA Worldwide and WWE, he has bridged the gap between traditional Mexican Lucha Libre and global stardom.

Born Emmanuel Roman Morales in 1997, Vikingo rose through the ranks of the independent scene before joining Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in 2017. His ascent was marked by rapid success; he won a contract with the promotion after winning the Llave a la Gloria tournament at Triplemanía XXV. He quickly became a staple of the 'Los Jinetes del Aire' (The Air Raiders) trio, helping secure multiple AAA World Trios Championship reigns between 2018 and 2021. He first appeared on the independent circuit where he faced a large group of opponents including Pequeno Cobra. His early work in AAA saw him team with Concord and Octagoncito to defeat Bronco Gonzalez.

Vikingo’s resume is defined by historic longevity and high-profile transitions. In 2021, he captured the vacant AAA Mega Championship, beginning a reign that lasted 833 days—the longest in the promotion's history. His status as an elite performer was cemented in 2022 when he was ranked as the highest-ranked Mexican wrestler in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's PWI 500 since 2013. Beyond AAA, he has made significant appearances for major promotions including AEW, Ring of Honor, and TNA. Vikingo also held the Marvel Lucha Libre Championship as both its inaugural and final champion. He was ranked number seven among the top ten wrestlers of 2022 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.

The narrative of his career recently shifted toward a global stage with WWE acquiring his contract in April 2025. This transition included a notable 'heel turn' in late 2025, where he adopted a cocky attitude and began berating fans. Despite facing setbacks like a torn ACL in mid-2025, Vikingo continues to be a central figure in the sport, balancing his heritage as a Lucha Libre icon with the demands of international mainstream wrestling. During his time with WWE, he appeared ringside at WrestleMania 41 to interact with Rey Fenix. He also won a second Mega Championship on May 31, 2025, after defeating Alberto El Patrón.
