The hero is celebrated while the count's daughter must rebuild an army alone
In short: In the wake of defeating a demon lord, Prince Henri is hailed as a hero. Yet, his decision to break his engagement to Countess Romelia leaves her abandoned. Now, Romelia must leverage her campaign skills to rescue prisoners and eliminate the remaining threats from the demon lord's army.
The Romelia War Chronicle, written by Ryō Ariyama, explores the chaotic aftermath of a decisive victory. While the world celebrates Prince Henri Lleus Lionel for defeating the demon lord, the political and social reality for his former fiancée, Romelia von Graham, is far more precarious. After Henri broke their engagement, Romelia found herself abandoned by her companions, forced to navigate a landscape where remnants of the demon lord's army still pose a significant threat. Despite this isolation, she intends to use her military expertise to save captives. Her mission focuses on eradicating any lingering dangers to the kingdom.

The original light novel series was illustrated by Kodama for its first volume. Later volumes featured artwork by Ryō Kamito.
A two-cour series, this anime adaptation debuted on Tokyo MX and various other channels on October 5, 2026. Directed by Hiroshi Shirai with series composition by Aya Satsuki, the production features music by Kohta Yamamoto. The series' reach is significant, with the manga reaching over 400,000 copies in circulation by September 2024, and the English-language manga licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment for a January 2026 release. The television production features character designs by Yoshiko Saitō and Yūta Ōtaka. Additionally, the first opening theme, 'Akatsuki ni Naru', is performed by Chogakusei.
