How Solo Sikoa rose from a silent enforcer to a self-proclaimed tribal chief
In short: Joseph Fatu, known to WWE fans as Solo Sikoa, transformed from a quiet muscle for The Bloodline into a central figure of professional wrestling power struggles. His journey through the ranks of NXT and the main roster reveals a complex narrative of family loyalty, betrayal, and the pursuit of tribal authority.
Born into the storied Anoaʻi wrestling family, Joseph Fatu began his career in 2018 as Sefa Fatu. After honing his craft on the independent circuit, he signed with WWE in 2021. Debuting on the NXT brand as Solo Sikoa, he quickly established himself as a formidable force, maintaining an undefeated streak until a loss to Gunther in March 2022. His transition to the main roster at Clash at the Castle in September 2022 marked his entry into The Bloodline, where he served as a silent enforcer for his cousin, Roman Reigns.
The internal dynamics of The Bloodline shifted dramatically in 2023 and 2024. Following the departure of his brothers, Jimmy and Jey Uso, Sikoa seized control of the faction, declaring himself the new Tribal Chief and claiming possession of the Ula Fala, a symbol of leadership. This hostile takeover led to intense feuds, most notably against Reigns, who sought to reclaim his status. Sikoa’s tenure as leader saw him recruit new members, including Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu, before the group eventually splintered in mid-2026.
Beyond his leadership roles, Sikoa has secured multiple championships, including the NXT North American, WWE United States, and WWE Tag Team titles. His career is marked by high-stakes storylines, such as the Bloodline Civil War and his complex rivalry with Sami Zayn. Despite his success, his path has been turbulent, characterized by shifting alliances and a recent turn toward a face persona in 2026. His trajectory reflects the evolving nature of WWE storytelling, where familial bonds and power dynamics drive the narrative forward.
