From automobile management to the spotlight of Indian television
In short: Before becoming a recognizable face on major Indian soap operas, Aman Gandhi was managing operations for a global automotive firm. His transition from corporate Delhi to the bustling television sets of Mumbai marks a dramatic shift from business management to becoming a prominent lead in high-profile series.
Aman Gandhi's journey into the entertainment industry began with a significant career pivot. After completing his graduation, he moved from his native Delhi to Mumbai in October 2015 to pursue acting. Before finding success on screen, he held a professional position as an assistant manager at a global automobile company, a role he eventually abandoned to follow his ambitions.
His television career began in 2016 with a dancing role in the show D4 - Get Up and Dance. Following this debut, he appeared in various cameo roles, including Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Sasural Simar Ka. His first significant breakthrough occurred in 2018 when he played the antagonist Daksh Munshi in Naagin 3, a role that helped establish his presence in the industry.
Gandhi's career has been defined by long-running roles and high-profile series. He gained significant prominence through his portrayal of Ayushmaan "Ayush" Chopra in Bhagya Lakshmi, a role he held from August 2021 until June 2025. More recently, he has taken on lead roles in the revival of iconic series, such as Hrithik Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, starting in July 2025.
The actor's personal life has also occasionally intersected with his professional work. In 2025, Shagun Sharma, who portrayed his onscreen sister in the Kyunki series, revealed that the two had been dating long before their involvement in the production. By September 2026, Gandhi transitioned into reality television as a contestant on Bigg Boss season 20.
