In short: In Singapore, the Fandi name is synonymous with footballing royalty. But Ilhan Fandi isn't just following his brothers, Irfan and Ikhsan, into the professional ranks. With a strike rate that surpasses his siblings, he is carving out a distinct, international legacy through clinical finishing and remarkable resilience.

Born on 8 November 2002, Ilhan Fandi is the third son of Singaporean legend Fandi Ahmad to pursue professional football. His journey began with an ambitious move to England in September 2017, where he studied at Queen Ethelburga's College in York and trained with the i2i Football Academy. This early exposure to European training prepared him for a rapid ascent through the Singapore Premier League.

Returning to Singapore, Ilhan debuted for the Young Lions in 2019. While his brothers Irfan and Ikhsan also played for the club, Ilhan established a superior scoring efficiency, recording 13 goals in 33 games—a higher rate than Irfan's eight in 43 or Ikhsan's 10 in 52. His talent earned him significant accolades in 202 and including the SPL 'Young Player of the Year', 'Goal of the Year', and a place in the 'Team of the Year'.

His career has been marked by both brilliance and physical adversity. After a successful stint with Albirex Niigata (S), where he scored 12 goals in 11 matches, he moved to Belgium to join Deinze in late 2022. However, a devastating ACL injury sustained during the 2022 AFF Championship sidelined him for much of 2023. Despite this, he has continued to find success in the Thai League 1 with BG Pathum United and Buriram United, even earning the 'Young Player of the Tournament' award at the 2024–25 ASEAN Club Championship.

Beyond individual stats, Ilhan has been a pivotal figure in Singapore's national resurgence. He played a key role in the team's qualification for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, a feat achieved through a full qualification campaign for the first time since 1984.
