In short: Set in 2011, Stone Ocean follows Jolyne Cujoh, who is framed for manslaughter and sent to a Florida prison. What begins as a quest for survival against a corrupt chaplain evolves into a battle across time itself, as Jolyne confronts a plot to rewrite the universe and erase her family line.

The sixth part of Hirohiko Araki's manga series, Stone Ocean, was adapted into a 38-episode anime by David Production. The narrative centers on Jolyne Cujoh, who is imprisoned at Green Dolphin Street Prison, nicknamed the Aquarium. Her life is upended when her estranged father, Jotaro Kujo, reveals that her incarceration is a trap set by a disciple of Dio. During a confrontation with the prison chaplain, Enrico Pucci, Jotaro is incapacitated, losing his memories and his Stand—a manifestation of psychic power—leaving Jolyne to lead a desperate mission to save him.

Jolyne forms an unlikely alliance with fellow inmates, including the amnesiac Weather Report, the vengeful Ermes Costello, and Foo Fighters, a sentient colony of plankton. Their antagonist, Pucci, seeks to fulfill the instructions found in Dio's diary to achieve Heaven. By evolving his Stand, Whitesnake, into C-Moon and finally Made in Heaven, Pucci gains the ability to manipulate gravity and accelerate time. His ultimate goal is to reset the universe, forcing humanity to subconsciously accept their fates while simultaneously purging the Joestar bloodline from existence.

The conflict culminates at Cape Canaveral, where Pucci’s acceleration of time leads to the deaths of Jolyne and her allies. However, Jolyne’s final sacrifice ensures the survival of the young inmate Emporio Alnino. Emporio manages to defeat Pucci by utilizing the power of Weather Report to induce oxygen poisoning. As the universe reaches its end and restarts, Emporio encounters reincarnations of his friends living new, happier lives. This conclusion marks a definitive shift in the series' scope, moving from personal vendettas to the fundamental restructuring of reality.
