In short: Before she was a fixture in major science fiction franchises, Luna Blaise was a child actor navigating indie art films and sitcoms. Discover how this Scottish-American talent transitioned from a six-year-old debut to starring in one of the highest-grossing films of 2025.

Born in Los Angeles to a Scottish director and a Mexican-<0xC2>mAmerican actress, Luna Blaise Boyd's career began much earlier than her recent box office success. She made her first appearance in the 2008 film Vicious Circle at just six years old. By 2013, she had moved into the indie circuit, playing the character Young Nina in the film Memoria, a project executive produced by James Franco.

Her transition to mainstream television arrived in 2014 with the ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat. Playing the recurring character Nicole, Blaise was only 13 when filming began. This role brought her critical recognition within the industry, earning her the Best Recurring Young Actress award at the 2016 Young Artist Awards. During this period, she also explored music, releasing singles such as "Over You" in 2017 and "Secrets" in 2018.

The supernatural drama Manifest (2018–2023) provided another significant platform, where she played Olive Stone. Although the series faced an initial cancellation after three seasons, a surge in popularity on Netflix led to a fourth and final season that concluded in June 2023.

Blaise's career reached a commercial peak in 2025 with her role in Jurassic World Rebirth. Directed by Gareth Edwards and featuring a high-profile cast including Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, the film became a massive global success. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film grossed over $869.1 million worldwide and earned Academy Award recognition, marking a definitive moment of international stardom for the actress.
