In short: Before becoming a familiar face in popular Australian dramas, Nathan Page was a rising star in competitive cycling. His journey from the racing circuits of Europe to the theatrical stages of Adelaide and Sydney highlights a remarkable pivot from elite athletics to a successful career in performing arts.

Born in Perth to an Air Force family, Page's early life involved frequent moves across Australia. His competitive journey began in Canberra at age 14, where he quickly ascended the racing ranks in New South Wales. By 15, he was competing at a national level, earning a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport in Adelaide. This elite training path eventually saw him competing in Europe alongside Lance Armstrong.

However, his professional cycling career ended abruptly at age 19. A combination of various injuries and the difficulty of remaining competitive in the European circuit without the use of performance-enhancing drugs led to his retirement. This transition marked the beginning of a new chapter in performing arts. After finishing his cycling career, he enrolled in weekly drama classes before graduating from the Centre for Performing Arts in Adelaide in 1996.

Page's acting career has been diverse, spanning theatre, television, and film. He gained significant recognition for his role as Detective Inspector Jack Robinson in the popular series Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. His stage work includes notable performances such as King Duncan in a 1998 production of Macbeth and the character of Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps. More recently, his upcoming projects include the 2026 Netflix adaptation of My Brilliant Career and the folk horror film Lucrum, which is set to premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival on 23 October 2026.
