In short: Born via the Old Power after the destruction of the planet Sakaar, Skaar is a warrior shaped by violence. To survive his savage upbringing, he learned that killing was a necessity. Now, he seeks a reckoning with his father, the Hulk, navigating a complex legacy of gamma radiation and alien power.

Skaar is the offspring of the Hulk—Bruce Banner—and the extraterrestrial Caiera. His origins are tied to the tragic destruction of the planet Sakaar. Following the planet's demise and Caiera's death, Skaar emerged from a cocoon via the Old Power, rapidly aging into an adult. This unique biological process left him with a dual nature: an ordinary human form and a towering green humanoid capable of immense strength and stamina. This transformation allows him to access certain abilities even while in a Shadow state. His physical resilience is remarkable, as he can withstand explosions from rocket-propelled grenades without harm.

His combat abilities are a hybrid of his parents' traits. From his father, he inherited gamma-induced superhuman strength, which increases with his rage, and rapid healing. From his mother's side, he can harness the Old Power to manipulate tectonic energy, provided he maintains contact with the ground. He can even transform into a Shadow form, though this state prevents him from using his gamma-induced powers. Additionally, he possesses the unique ability to sense the life forces of other beings across his current planet. He also carries a sword to assist him during combat.

Skaar's journey on Earth has been defined by a desire to kill his father, whom he believed was the 'War Hulk' who conceived him. However, after a confrontation with the Earth-616 Hulk, he realized the man before him was different. This realization, combined with various encounters with characters like the Fantastic Four and the Red Hulk, has shaped his path from a vengeful warrior to a complex figure who has even served as a double agent within the Dark Avengers. His presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was marked by a brief cameo in the She-Hulk series. He also appeared as a playable character in the Lego Marvel's Avengers video game.
