In short: Suzuko Mimori is a master of two distinct worlds: the intimate, invisible art of voice acting and the grand, physical spectacle of musical theatre. While many artists choose one path, Mimori has spent her career navigating the tension between the microphone and the spotlight.

Born Suzuko Kurokawa in 1986, Mimori’s foundation was built on a diverse musical upbringing. Her household was a sonic crossroads where her father played classical works by Georg Friedrich Händel and her mother spun rock and R&B records by Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. This eclectic environment, combined with early ballet training at age seven, fueled an ambition to become a musical actress. However, her path was non-linear; after failing to gain admission to the prestigious Takarazuka Music School, she initially pivoted toward a career involving English and vocal performance at Mariart Studio.

Her professional breakthrough came through a series of fortunate connections. In 2006, she made her first stage appearance under her birth name, but it was a performance of 'Kimi ni Sasageru Uta' that caught the attention of Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani. This led to her transition into voice acting in 2008 under the name Suzuko Mimori. Despite this success, she faced a pivotal internal conflict: she initially declined a major role in 'ShōjoKageki Revue Starlight' because she believed she had finished her journey as a stage performer. She eventually accepted, leading to a career that balances high-profile anime roles with live musical theatre.

Today, Mimori remains driven by a specific, ambitious goal. While she dreams of a lifelong career in voice acting, she considers her stage career incomplete until she can perform a principal 'center' role at the Imperial Theatre—the very venue where she first saw 'Les Misérables' as a child. Her journey illustrates a unique synthesis of disciplines, blending jazz, tap, and ballet with the technical demands of voice work, all underpinned by her personal motto: 'Perseverance is strength.'
