In short: In early 2026, the UK edition of The Masked Singer launched its seventh series. Featuring a mix of returning stars and unexpected guests, the competition culminated in a high-stakes final face-off that determined which celebrity would finally claim the title of the ultimate masked champion.

ITV aired this seventh British iteration on 3 January 2026. A Christmas special on 26 December 2025 preceded this season, which ended on 14 February 2026. The production was part of a larger two-year commissioning agreement by ITV that was originally announced in October 2024. To support the main broadcast, a companion show titled The Masked Singer: Unmasked, hosted by Harriet Rose, was made available on ITVX.

The competition featured fifteen costume masks, including three exclusive masks that fronted special 'Masked Bands.' In the first episode, 'Goldfish' led the band 'No Trout,' while the second episode featured 'Emperor Penguin' and the band 'Antarctic Funkeys.' The series also introduced 'Mole Dommett,' a mask used to provide extra clues for the panel; this character was revealed to be Olly Murs in the sixth episode.

The final saw a departure from previous formats. Instead of singing previous hits, the final two contestants—'Moth' and 'Conkers'—participated in a 'Final Face Off.' This involved taking turns singing different songs before performing a duet of Lizzo's '2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)' simultaneously. Ultimately, singer Keisha Buchanan, performing as 'Moth,' won the series. She defeated the runner-up, television presenter Ben Shephard, who competed as 'Conkers.' The third-place finisher was singer and actress Mica Paris, who performed as 'Toastie.'

The production faced minor editorial challenges during the first episode. Due to a bar fire in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, in 2026, the performance by 'Red Panda' was deemed inappropriate and edited out of the initial broadcast. However, the performance was later made available on Sky UK's Catch Up TV and eventually reinstated on ITVX.
