The return of a prehistoric giant to the British Isles
In short: The bison once roamed the UK during the last ice age, but they have been absent for millennia. This film follows a conservation effort to reintroduce these massive mammals to the modern landscape.
The video follows Yussef Rafik as he tracks the newest herd of bison in the UK. It highlights a significant conservation program aimed at restoring a species that vanished from the region following the end of the last ice age.
By documenting the search for these animals, the footage explores the intersection of natural history and modern wildlife management. It serves as a testament to how conservation efforts can bring back lost components of an ecosystem.
