In short: Beyond its role as the Florida Panthers' home ice, this Sunrise arena has evolved into a central hub for South Florida's growing Hispanic and Latin population. By hosting record-breaking concerts and major cultural events, the venue has successfully tapped into a massive, vibrant market spanning three diverse counties.

Completed in 1998 for $185 million, the arena in Sunrise, Florida, was built under a tight 26-month deadline to host the Florida Panthers. While it remains the largest arena in the state, its utility has expanded far beyond professional hockey. The venue has hosted high-profile events ranging from NHL All-Star games and Stanley Cup Finals to political rallies and mixed martial arts competitions. Its strategic location allows it to serve not only Miami-Dade County but also the one million Hispanic and Latin residents living in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

This demographic shift has fundamentally changed the arena's programming. Since 2019, the venue has prioritized Latin entertainment, hosting events like the Latin Billboard Music Awards and the Latin American Music Awards. The commercial success of these bookings is significant; artists like Marco Antonio Solís and Juan Luis Guerra have shattered records for ticket sales and gross revenue at the facility. This trend continued with sold-out performances by stars like Peso Pluma, signaling a permanent shift in the arena's cultural footprint.

The facility's versatility is supported by its infrastructure, which includes 70 suites, over 2,600 club seats, and 17,000 square feet of floor space. Beyond concerts, it serves as a community anchor, hosting memorials, town halls, and annual sporting traditions like the Orange Bowl Basketball Classic. By adapting to the cultural demands of its surrounding population, the arena has transformed from a singular sports venue into a multifaceted center for South Florida's diverse and growing community.
