A drunken wish transforms a regular man into a legendary beauty in another realm
In short: When two childhood friends are whisked away to a magical world, their lives take an unexpected turn. One receives immense power to fight a demon lord, while the other is transformed into a stunning figure whose appearance captivates everyone he meets. Navigating this new reality creates complicated, evolving emotional bonds.
The narrative follows the journey of Hinata Tachibana and Tsukasa Jinguji, two longtime companions thrust into a high-stakes fantasy environment. Their transition begins when the Goddess of Love and Beauty intervenes, granting Hinata’s intoxicated desire to become a woman. This divine act leaves the pair with a singular mission: to defeat a powerful demon lord. While Jinguji is granted exceptional physical prowess and various combat abilities, Hinata possesses little beyond an extraordinary, supernatural charm that draws the attention of men.
Created by writer Yū Tsurusaki and illustrator Shin Ikezawa, the series originated as a web manga on the Cycomi platform in November 2019. Its popularity grew steadily, leading to a collection of eighteen volumes published by Shogakukan by June 2026. The franchise achieved significant commercial success, reaching over 1 million copies in circulation by December 2024. It also earned recognition in the 2020 Next Manga Award, where it secured the 19th position in the web manga category.
The story was adapted into an anime television series produced by OLM, which aired in early 2022. Directed by Sayaka Yamai, the production featured music by Takeshi Watanabe and character designs by Aoi Yamato. The series was broadcast on TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo between January 12 and March 30, 2022. International distribution was handled by Crunchyroll, which later introduced an English dub in July 2022. The series continues to explore the humorous and emotional complexities of its protagonists as they struggle with their changing relationship while traversing a dangerous, enchanted landscape.
