How the Albert Einstein ATV delivered 7 tons of supplies to orbit
In short: Witness the automated arrival of the European Space Agency's fourth Automated Transfer Vehicle. This video captures the docking of the Albert Einstein to the International Space Station following its journey from French Guiana.
Launched on June 5 via an Ariane 5 rocket from Kourou, French Guiana, the Albert Einstein completed a ten-day journey to reach the International Space Station on June 15. The craft automatically docked to the Zvezda Service Module's aft port.
As the fourth of five ATVs developed by the ESA, this mission delivered over 7 tons of fuel and supplies to support the Expedition 36 crew. The vehicle was scheduled to remain attached to the station until late October, where it could assist with debris avoidance maneuvers or station reboosts.
